La
Bodega is a friendly tapas bar, situated in Morpeth town centre,
owned and run by April Atkinson. Formerly a local drinking establishment,
under the name of the Black & Grey, La Bodega was born on the
1st May 2008. Although a vibrant tapas bar was not what the 'old
school' regulars of the pub wanted, April soon won the rest of
Northumberland round.
La Bodega prides itself on the fine
Spanish cuisine and wines on offer, but also on the excellent
service provided to customers. In such a short space of time,
La Bodega has become one of the most popular places to eat out
in Morpeth.
The Menu, bursting with Spanish
flavours, includes a selection of dishes; all are made from fresh
local produce, finished in fine Mediterranean style. The bar also
has a good variety of Spanish wines, reasonably priced to enjoy
formally or otherwise.
The interior of La Bodega is a cocktail
of dark woods, rustic red walls, and bright orange curtains, with
an arrangement of pictures of flamenco dancers giving a Mediterranean
feel, complimented by the buzzing atmosphere you would expect
in Barcelona or Madrid. Early booking is essential at LaBodega,
which speaks volumes for the restaurant.
The restaurant can also be booked
for private parties, perfect for any celebration, with a choice
of menus on offer. Experience the authentic taste of Spain, right
